2-5 Species Survival Project Showcase

Image
Today the 2nd-5th grade students showcased their Species Survival projects.  The driving question for our project was: "How can we design a solution that will help an endangered (or threatened) animal thrive?" We are so proud of their creative solutions and hard work!

IPC Impulse-Momentum Design Challenge

Image
Students in IPC science class are studying conservation of momentum, force and impulse. Students were given a design challenge to create a device to slow an accelerating Vernier dynamics cart to a stop with the least amount of force detected by the dynamics cart. Data was collected by a force sensor and then calculations were made to determine the force the dynamics cart experienced upon collision.
