Caring for Our Community: 3-5 HUB

Image
We have started a new project in 3-5 HUB, Caring for Our Community. The driving question for our unit is: "How can we design a “home” that meets the needs of our homeless community?" To kick off the project, we have been reading stories and conducting & sharing research to increase our background knowledge on the topic of homelessness. On Tuesday, teams presented their research to the class!

IPC Advanced topics of the Electromagnetic Spectrum

Image
IPC is finishing up our unit on waves with an Advanced Topics of the Electromagnetic Spectrum tic-tac-toe choice board assignment. The students had options to choose from for further investigating. Some of the options were to find an example of refraction, an image that shows reflection from a concave surface and an image that shows reflection from a convex surface. Some students drew the anatomy of the eye and discussed how we see. Another choice was to create an artistic representation of the electromagnetic spectrum.
